Outdoor public artwork exhibited in Sculpture at the Point, Point State Park, part of the Three Rivers Arts Festival, Pittsburgh, PA, June 4-21. As the title implies the intention was to commemorate the Native Americans who lived in this location—who have been dispossessed to this day. Meant to address our historic memory of their presence or absence and to raise awareness of their presence currently living in our midst. Tipi constructed of metal tube armature covered with rip-stop nylon, satellite dishes mounted with solar panels and photo voltaic system that power a TV and continuous audio tape surrounded by ceramic planters of corn, beans and squash (staples of Native American diet), chain link fencing 8’ high.
